I'm sceptical about the fairness of this video. It's a Japanese video promoting Japanese cars - notice how the German cars lag behind. Having owned a Porsche Boxster, I would expect it to outperform a Honda S2000 on a track - not by a big margin but it handles better and is roughly the same power (standard Boxster, not Boxster S). The BMW M3 should trounce all of the cars in the video.

Of course, there are dozens of these kinds of videos around and each will provide the winner that you want!

The BMW M3 is a supercar chaser. The others on this video are performance coupes/cabriolets. They're a world apart IMO.

not sure about that to be honest. S2000's really do rock in the right hands

which is the best sentence of the debate really.....you want who you want to win. Not always the truthful victor.

Lets face it within 30 seconds of the race starting the M3 driver has already said he'll hang back to let the others mess about.

In a real race, that would be suicide even in a really dominant car. So the fact is it's not strictly fair.

The 350z and the M3 get IDENTICAL lap times.
So the M3 would not trounce any of them!
