He did the vrrwwaaarrrrpp PIDGEON (35), frwwwwaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrppp PIDGEON, (70) when he came in his pants. I get the sound, every day on the way to work. You don't need a (unreliable) V8 to get the pidgeon sound. A 2.0 4 pot will do nicleley - and it cost £3k not £30k

Especially the one where they take the Lancia for scrap but the magnet can't lift it because... there is no metal to lift its all rusted away. Typical old top gear jokes.
Anyone remember top gear with this bergerac lookalike hosting it? Must have been 1984 or 85. All very proper and with nice long raincoats.
I kinda like the fact we got the old top gear as fith gear and the "new" one as.. well top gear.

Just watched the first show of the new series. Very entertaining but I was a bit disappointed that they only tested two cars that most people couldn't afford: the £235K Ascari and the £80K Aston Martin.
Nice to see a few swear words bleeped out!
