    Had my first proper accident

    Am gutted....

Been clouted up the chuff in the Golf. Be suprised if the Insurance company dont write her off.

Got a bump on my head but thats about it. The guy was doing some speed tho, reckoned I pulled out on him - but it was on a bend and I deffo didnt see him until his lights were right behind me and BANG!

Im absolutely gutted though. I know its more important that no one was seriously hurt, but man I love that car!

was this a mini? still drivable??

if you couldnt see him when he's round the corner its his fault - the highway code states that you should always drive baring in mind what you can see ahead (or something) so if he couldnt see the road more than 20 yards ahead, he should be going slower.

get your head checked out pronto, its worth being safe with these things. glad you're ok.

even if the ins co writes your car off, you can still get it fixed - its possible to get it fixed cheaper than their prices..

Got hit by another Golf, but a newer one.

Im ok, bit stiff. Went to the hospital last night and the doc said I just got a small(!) bump on the back of my head and to take painkillers. Feels like mount everest to me tho!
Neck, shoulders and back are stiff this morning.

Car has been taken to Enfield, Insurance Co sorting getting it back up here and having it assessed/repaired. So can only wait and see what happens now.

Thanks for your comments and stuff guys.

Just be carefull about them stinging your for storage etc.

When in an accident, if possible ALWAYS keep hold of the car yourself.

    Yeah commit insurance fraud
He should only claim for injuries he siffers, not make them up.

Honoop: You say he hit you up the arse - so he hit the rear of the car because you had pulled out and had actually completed the manouver and was acclerating. He doesn't stand a chance!

if you're pulling out from behind a corner, its the responsibility of the person going round that corner to drive appropriately based on what they can see. if honoop (i think shes a she..?) had no vision of a car round the corner because the corner was in the way, he/she is not to blame at all.

yep agreed. I was simply saying that if you're hit up the arsein pretty much any situation its the other drivers fault.

ahh i thought you meant the other driver didnt have a chance of slowing down..

if the road had been straight/good visability, and the other driver not speeding, it would have been honoops fault.. even if the other driver went into the arse..

I'm with badass on this one - fraud is not cool

    'A bit stiff' != whiplash

Yer insurance fraud isnt the coolest thing you can do, but whiplash, or "soft tissue" injuries can be very hard to disprove, so many people get pay outs even if they have nothing wrong with them.

Depends is the other driver braked as hard as they could. If they could have avoided it by braking harder, then they would at least share the blame.

Then claim for the hassle of new car being wrote off.
For whiplash try suffering from..... Actually I'm not going to help you by describing some of the symptoms, however I had to wear a neck brace for several months and had a lot of time off work in that time.
I shant describe the symptoms as I would not be surprised that they are repeated to a doctor several months down the line
