Talking Don't Think That'll Go On The Ramp Boss...

Bad weather (snow!) forced us inside with the dumper earlier, bit of a squeeze mind.

Another excellent job this week...replace the starter motor on one of these...

    ...its in here...

...somewhere...about middle right in the picture and right back. Total pain in the ass to do, i would love to meet the clod who thought it would be a good idea to design the starter motor so you can only get a spanner on the bolts, not a socket. Especially the one at the bottom you can only turn a dickhair at a time .

    Slightly easier job this one.

New rear axle on the Clio, managed to find a front-ended Williams in a local breakers to scavenge luckily. Shelleys wanting the wheels for her Clio when she gets it...

Makes a change from the usual builders Transits mate . We also get some other stuff to play with when we go to Castle Cements Padeswood works to service machinery for a plant hire firm.

Its a pain though, the cement dust gets everywhere and sets hard, it takes longer to get that off all the inspection plates than it does to do the service!.

Lad who owns it has just wrecked a Saxo VTR...now he's had the Clio and clouted the back end on a kerb after a couple of weeks. I don't think it'll be long 'til that ones wrecked as well . As for the rideheight, it was just stupid...it was literally on the bumpstops, the pic was taken after we swapped the axle and is standard 16v/Willy height on the back...

The lowering's not too bad. The 17's, drainpipe and aftermarket spoler are though! :

No Sensei, i'm not kicking the mats to waste time, they have parted and I don't want to injure myself!

Looks like they only lowered the front though!

Shelley, the front wings will go on easily enough, but your bumper will look a bit daft, you'd need the wider Valver bumper too Rear wings aren't as easy sadly, they're the whole quarter panel. Bonnet's easy enough, as is the rear hatch

    Something to think about hehe.

Possibly aye, but you'd be suprised how many places look at a torsion bar setup and go "stuff that" or words to that effect when asked to lower it.
