Engine Screen Saver: Best I've ever seen

    Hi guys

Think this is called a Deutz engine screen saver. I warn youit's vast (43mb total), and needs several files downloading.

But, without a shadow of a doubt,it represents the ultimate in engine build animations, with blocks cranks, bearings, cams, gaskeys, manifolds, pumps, dipsticks, tappets, I mean everything

Bolts turning tight, water pumps, spark plugs and ignition systems...it ALL goes on in this one

And then it runs, in close up

    3d perfection.

    OK: you need this site
    http://www.eng.auburn.edu/~pjones/MECH.4410/deutz/

and you need to download those to 1 file on your PC. Then run the .scr to see it in action.

    It's amazing

Then when you've watched it, report back.

I'm gob smacked. It is, for me,the ultimate teaching tool

Nope, I'm having the same problem using Firefox and IE...

EDIT: Just tried again, and it works now! Great animation! I haven't been able to watch it all yet, though I certainly will later... Probably teach me a thing or too!

it's well worth it guys. Well well worth it

It's several minutes long, with amazing 3d cut through of a full 3d generated engine build...and then with it running.

Shown Jiff today, and he was gob smacked....and that's quite hard to do...to gob smack Jiff is a good thing

That is one awesome screensaver. Just watched the whole thing thru and it is quite impressive.

Is there anyway to disable the sound?

If you run Deutz Engine.exe you can mute the sound under the video settings.

Never bothered with screen savers, but will give this a go.

    Is it spyware free?

If you save 001 and 002 files as .mpeg you can just watch them as videos by the way.
