i used to have a black car....its a funny grey/brown shade now.
I've had the car now since Thursday, and have done 250 miles so far.
I'm still getting used to its size though at the moment, and still taking it quite easy, but WOW, I'm really enjoying it! I'm very happy with my decision in the end!
The Showroom will be updated when pics are taken!

I've not got any plans for it just yet, though I'm sure the temptation of having it chipped will be too great when the warranty runs out!
I have actually signed up to briskoda already, but not yet made any posts... Will do at some point and say hi.

Thesedays you can chip a car without the dealer knowing a thing about it as the software is upped through the obd port on the car - there's nothing visible to the dealer and you can return the car to stock mode any time it needs to get in. In my experience, dealers don't care either - and most would be hard pressed to notice it at all (even with VAG diagnostics hooked up - unless the cars reporting fault codes nowt shows). I waiting till 4k before i chipped mine - and GOD is it better afterwards. I went with www.jabbasport.com but www.revotechnik.com is an easier choice if you don't want to travel and are pretty well thought of. REVO takes about 20mins to upload and you're done. You should see 220-240bhp out of it post chip (with a similar lb/ft figure) but that tells only half the story - the car just feels 'alive'Originally Posted by Ant

Can anyone think of anywhere that chips the 2.5 VAG Engine? Mine feels a bit sluggish due to the added weight of the cabrio.

This place? (Quick Google for Audi 2.5 ECU)
Edit: This seems to be the manufacturer of the software - check the 'Distributors' link (the first linked place is named on there as a distributor, but 'Awesome' in Manchester may be easier for you to get to, although they don't seem to do the 2.5 ECU...)

Hmmm, does sound good! But bear in mind, I've just come from a 1.4 Clio, so the vRS has loads more power than I'm used to. So I may wait a while until I feel the need for more power, its quick enough for me at the moment... Cheers for the links though. I will add them to my favourites. It seems people rate them quite highly.Originally Posted by dangel

I have also just bought a VRS this weekend and am loving it so far. A great improvement over my old 440. I think I will be looking to get it chipped in summer if I can find a cheap insurance co as it would double my current premium.
Best way to do it tbh. The remap makes a world of difference when you have it done, it will be like driving a new car again!Originally Posted by Ant
