Best way to treat a slow puncture

Sorry, This is going to sound like a ridiculous question to those that are in the know but what is the best thing to do with a slow puncture? I've got different people telling me different products to try and how to do it and such but i've got limited space at home to work with where the car is parked. Woul it be easiest to just take it into a garage and get them to do it? Any idea on cost?

    I appreciate your input.

slow puncture could be anything - valve, badly seated tyre, nail.. might or might not be repairable.. i'd take it to a decent tyre place (with a good reputation) and ask them to take a look rather than waste money on products that may not work..

repairing a puncture should cost under £20, same for replacing a valve i think..

I had a screw removed and tyre fixed for £8 iirc. Maybe if you can't see it it will be harder to find and hence more expensive, but shouldn't be too much.

Ditto - I go to budget tyres and they've been able to fix my tyre twice previously when I've had a slow puncture on different cars, both times was a nail or a screw.

i'd get it looked at asap, as if there's an object in the tyre causing it, it may decide to leave unannounced...
