Hrm, mine looks to be the same as Zak's TBH, certainly for the first two gears. I seem to recall I've hit 90 in 3rd, maybe 115 in 4th, and 5th gives me almost exactly 20mph/1000rpm so 130 at 6500. That's assuming my speedo is accurate, which it probably isn't.

I once hit the limiter in second doing about 64

    Mk1 MR2, standard 14" wheels.

they're all so LONG (except Tumbles )

    HEHE

I'm going from 3.7:1 final drive to 4.14:1

then if needs be...a 4.5:1 is possible....

    that'll shorten the bugger

My old car did 45mph at 4,500rpm. Never took it beyond that, but could hit 6,500rpm. Oh how I yurn for those days.

Hopefully, by April next year, I'll be boasting about an 1st gear : 85mph : 14,000rpm ratio.

Well a 1.0 Micra is a power house, or a power shack i should say. Just guessing a bit, and no rev counter, just go until the noise gets unbearable

    1st: 15mph
    2nd: 25-30mph
3rd: 50-60mph (doesnt sound good at 60 tho...)
4th: 70mph (sister took it to 80mph once, im sure it was missing bits when it came back)

    Will

p.s Dad has a C43 AMG, so that kinda makes up for the lack of micra power

i found out today, you can normally tell when you've hit the limit when it stops accelerating (it's as though it's stopping you for accellerating more), and you can't go any faster, in my 1.25 Zetec Fiesta V reg:

    1st: 30 @ 6500/7000 ish not sure
    2nd: 55 @ same

wasn't on a suitable road to go any faster.
