Whatever floats peoples boats. If it's flinging a R5 round a 'twisty' [although the risk factor involved is surely greater than thrill provided?] or sitting in a car park revving. It's theirs, they can do what they want with it, so long as they don't do it near my motaaah.

Man, you guys just doin that

My old man did that back in the '50's. They used to do that on their "lead sleds" as they called em. (ever seen Grease, my old man was the John Travolta of this area, but smart ) The chopped (top) and channelled (dropping the body down onto the frame with a deep channel cut int to the underbody) big cars of the 50's in the US.

They always just added a plug and the old flat-head Ford V8's and other stuff they ran bacm then just ran rich enough (usually dual or tri carbed) that they just shot flame from the exhaust. Was actually pretty cool the way they did it. The flame shot out of the exhaust like a torch.

Was classic in the '50's on those kinda cars but on a "ricer", no way. Ricer's a bit too cheesey for a classic mod like that
