My brother has a Focus 1.6 zetec, I did alot of work on that, I did both cams, straight through exhaust system (4 to 2 manifold and decat) induction kit and fuel upgrade. Full coilover suspension and body kit, it was a nice car, he got about 160mph (but who knows as the clocks only go to 150mph) and still pushing when he was racing a saxo VTS down the M62, I was in my Corsa B I got to 120mph and then he left me as my car was at the top end, but then, he was one day in sainsburys car park and a lase in a Ford KA hit him side on at about 20/30mph and the car is a right mess, both doors are naff and the D post has been pushed in, I think the insurence are going to wright it off.

Spoke to a few more people today.

We think its the valve guide seals.

If I let it idle for a while, then rev it, there will be a huge cloud of white smoke.

Im told its possible to do without removing the cylinder head, but noone i have spoke to is willing to do it that way - they all want to remove the head which will cost about £500 in total.

Since the tools and parts to do it should cost under £100 in total, I am considering having a go myself, but I cant find much information about how to do it.
