New car time - Primera GT [56k]

Went out today, test drove and bought it. Sorted insurance out, paid for it, drove it back to Sheffield.

    Some pics:

    The Info:
    Nissan Primera GT (P11) 2000 W
    K&N 57i Induction Kit
    HKS Super Dragger Exhaust
    HKS Manifold
    Piper Fast Road Cams
    Diamond Black cross drilled disks
    Mintex pads
    B&M Short Shifter
    BK Racing Alloys (17")
    Clear repeaters and clear rears
    Sony headunit (F7700 i think?)

Paid the pricy sum of £1800 for it, 86k on clock, T&T for 10 months. Few little car park dings, tiny spec of rust under spoiler, couple of scratches, all the usual stuff on a 6 year old car thats been used as a daily driver.

Might be replacing the back box as the current HKS jobbie (4" straight cut) is rather loud.

Forgot it's also on KYB AGX suspension with Apex springs (35mm drop)

That's not bad value tbh. Not sure I'm a fan of the wheels though.

    But but but but

Indeed, you can pick up SRI's for about £800-£1500 ish. Only 20bhp less than a GT .

I think the wheels were an option at new? I've seen some GT's with crap wheels as stock... but those wheels in the pictures above are the same ones somebody on my street uses so I'm guessing they are stock too (and you didn't mention them being custom).

Bodykit's a bit OTT IMHO, and the alloys look a bit cheap.

    Otherwise though,.

Well he said they were custom, and they don't look like something Nissan would put on a car like that as stock anyway

I think thats the standard kit Rave

looks like you got a lot of car for £1800.

the HKS systems are a bit boomy - you can fit a bung to make it neighbour friendly if you want.

That's the stock body kit for the GT version.
Body kits are very hard to find too... well in the UK anyway, you have to get most things imported for the primera

Indeed, the only reason I said it though is because I've seen the exact same wheels on the GT version that somebody owns on my street .

Body kit is standard fit on GTs, and in all fairness, the wheels are cheep, about £350 a set.

The exhaust isn't overly loud, only thing i'm not keen on is the 4" tail pipe, looks a bit ricer/chavish. I might look at getting a different backbox, or a bung for it to lower noise.

    Any ideas where sells bungs?

Thanks Moby, sent them an e-mail asking about it. It's not overly loud, but jsut a boom between about 2.3-3.5k rpm.

Edit: Might want to try www.apexperformance.co.uk rather than .com

Yeah .co.uk is where its at lol

You'll have plenty of choice for exhausts mate. From no name ebay brands, to intermediate mongoose/janspeed to the big japs HKS/Apexi/etc

You can probaby sell the HKS exhaust for a fair bit, those three letters attract a price premium. You may be shocked to find out exacty how much that exhaust cost new

I've got the invoice for it here with the paperwork. Just shy of £700 fitted, and it's only CAT back. The manifold was £400 fitted too
