rofl kitty you really need to check yourself, a 1.4 8v lump doesnt suobnd like that

you think you pug is the loudest baddest car about, but its only got 70 bhp..

its fair enough to have the car you have, but dont tlk shat saying it sounds like that does because it doesnt, and how does the sound change when another person drives it tbh...

We've had this before, nothing wrong with kitty having her car the way she does although it won't sound like the V6 above.

Personally i didn't much like the V6 either

a car with a small engine and a drainpipe exhaust does sound loud, we're not denying htat, but it doesnt sound like a decent, large capacity/lots of pistons engine. the car in the link has a wonderful induction noise which a 1.4 will never produce.. a small car with a big exhaust simply sounds like a car with a hole in its pipe. its similar with bikes - a 50cc aprilla with a 'sports' exhaust will never sound as nice as a 900cc ducati.

if you listen to an engine note carefully you can tell if its a 4, 6 or 8 but just listening.. 8s tend to have burble, particularly american ones, where as 6's tend to sound.. peppy.. in comparison to a 4. 3 cylender cars also have a unique noise.. additionally, the engine layout (straight, v or flat) also effects the noise. you'll probably understand when you get a bit older..

finally, if a forum can stress you out and affect your to-be kid, don't come on here. it's not worth the risk
