Btw - i am gonna need to sort some things on it cosmetically - fix a few scratches and maybe do the wheels too as they are a bit scuffed. Any advice on products and services will be greatly appreciated. I may also want to take more care with cleaning this than i did with the 106, so advice on that would be good too.
Cheers.

Very nice.
Interior looks brand new! (from that low-res .jpg, at least)
The interior is generally very clean. The steering wheel is a bit worn and there is some leather sagging at the bottom of the seat backs, but it generally looks very good. One of the reasons i went for this particular car is the light interrior - really lightens up the car, the standard dark trim is a bit grim. Also the wooden bits dosn't look too out of place now. And here's a high res image.

That's hot... I've, like you, been pondering the purchase in a year or so when it will be affordable...
How much was it? How old are you, how much is the insurance if you don't mind me asking?

It was £3100, has full service history and 79k miles.
I will be 26 tomorrow, have 4 years no claims and it cost me about £670 for comprehensive cover with protected no claims. Incidentally thats how much it cost me to insure my 106 tpft for the first year...
I am gonna need to get a certificate confirming that the immobiliser is thatcham approved. If I can't get that may need to get an alarm installed.

Oh you're 26, I thought you were younger
Nice one

What's the 2 litre Prelude like? Is it poor in comparison?

No idea, its over a second slower to 60 and i don't think its got the vtecy goodness. The 2.2 is comparable to the nissan 200sx on performance. 2.0 wasn't really an option for me.

is it ? didn't know they where that swift ( although I can't remember when I was last in a standard 200 )Originally Posted by dkmech

It is faster (0-60) according to parkers 6.7 for prelude vs 7.3 for nissan. Also for me the whole point was to get an unmodified one so I can afford to insure it.
No it doesn't have the funky dash, but with the light trim the interior looks really nice.
