    yes trig, i was overtaking.

Unforunately for me i didn't realise that that much of a leak would cause a drop in oil pressure, suppose it never crossed my mind but i know now, as far as i was concerned so long as it was full of oil it wud be getting oil to the parts but now i know better. Wish i knew beforehand though! lol

lol tit, if you've got a leak then surely theres not going to be as much pressure as you need...
I've not been over to Neils to pick that block up yet but bare in mind its just the block so you really need to get yours in bits to see whats salvagable, chances are your going to need at least one rod and one piston although the block that I'm getting is a complete bottom end with pistons, I'm going to be taking the pistons out of it as its being converted to an LET so sourcing parts shouldnt be too much of an issue as I have 1 dead LET which has 3 pistons and 4 rods, a full set of LET rods and pistons and will also have a set of XE rods and pistons, sure we can come to some agreement lol..

cheers matey much obliged, sorry about the text didn't read this beforehand!

on saturday we'll be getting the engine out and probably on sunday be looking at the damage.

I thought the oil pressure might have been low but i didn't think it would be enough to starve it

aye but it never really seemed to work properly, i think the sender we got was the wrong one as it had to be stuck on an extension to fit, so the guage was always all over the place.

Yeah i know that trig. im just hoping not!

This nut maybe a little illinformed yes but you learn through ya mistakes and all that, i dont intend to be like a red arrow again with all the smoke coming out

    Worse case..

    Your already looking at block.
    Crank
Maybe 1 or more rods/pistons, need to get the engine out and have a look at what caused it, if your piston stopped then the rod could of broken free of it and gone out the side of the block.
Your gonna deffo need at least 1 rod n 1 piston tho I would say.
Head, if your lucky then nothing above the piston will have broken free, if it has and you've had bits bouncing between the top and the piston then you could be looking at a new head too.

Your looking at a set of rings, a set of mains, headset, 1 piston 1 rod.
    And thats if your lucky.

When you buy your rings I'll let you buy me a set as well and some main's
