Man...failing something like that is not a bad thing.

Trust me......failing makes you no less-a-driver in the long term. It's OK.

    Chill.....you'll get there

Sorry to hear that. My first test was a nightmare. I was far too eager and booked it after 10 weeks (with only 1 lesson a week). I think I got a couple of majors, one of them being for being too hesitant. Annoyingly, I did the reverse round a corner early on in the test and saw him make a mark and thought I had failed, so put my off for the rest of the test. Turned out it was only a minor at that point! Looking back, I can see I was nowhere near ready then.

Took it again 6 weeks later and failed again for speeding! (40 in a 30...just didn't see the signs). However, 4 weeks later, had the same examiner and took exactly the same route so passed with only a couple of minors!

    Failed mine first time too.
Clipped a bus lane (by like a foot ) and went through traffic lights just as they were turning from yellow to red.

    *chuckles*

Well, I was a first time passer, but even I think it's true, and I think the statistics back it up - first time passers can (not always) have a sense that they deserved to pass..

OR not... it takes practise to pass first time. All I did was drive very carefully and drive exactly like my instructor told and taught me to
..which is more likely to make them think they are better drivers Actually the best drivers are the ones that know they aren't very good.
