Really angry, 3 minors and 1 major.
All I forgot to do was to look right once when reversing around the corner.
Gutted!!!

Sorry to hear that (I failed my first driving test for cutting-up a bus!) but keep that anger and determination and go for it again and I'm sure you'll pass!
That sucks. Seems a bit of a stupid rule if you ask me though, you should be looking behind you and where your going! No need to look in the direction you are going away from, if your going to cause any danger it's staying with your nose half way out on the road if you ask me!
Booking my test for January, w00t!
Btw what were the minors?
It took me 3 times to pass mine in the end, twice at 17, gave up for a bit, went to uni etc, came back and passed at 25

Bad luck m8 - a lot of it's luck but a lot is also how it's much harder thesedays (I took mine 16 years ago). My wife is learning atm and she's already failed three times with similar experiences and she drives me home every day without a hitch!
Take solace from the fact that the test being hard on you should make you a better driver at the end of the day and on today's roads we need every bit of help we can get - the standard of driving is appalling now there's no policemen to put people in line.
Here's to the next one m8, best of luck!
u can always go to India and buy your international driving license, nice holidays and probably cheaper
I got a similar answer from an indian friend when i told him i passed the exam.

Unlucky Nick, wear a short skirt next time. Done the trick for my missus (shave your legs first though).

Lol at the shaving the legs bit....but yea, I drove Leeds > London on my Intl. AA but then again I'm not a UK citizen. I'm quite amazed at how hard they make it for you guys to drive and we just flash our AA card, a credit card and we are given the keys to driving however we like.
It was my first time on UK highways but I think I handled myself pretty well. Was doing 80mph most of the way with 'cruise' control on the vauxhaul vectra (lovely car!), only the GPS gave me a scare in london when it gave me odd directions and I was driving towards a BMW ...head on!.... good thing it was Sunday as I was duck into the 'correct' lane quicky...got to the AVIS return depot safely.
Good luck with taking the test again Nick!
They failed you because you forgot to look right once? that's pathetic!
This might just be me, but looking back now, some of the rules are a load of old bollards OK you've gotta be observant but not looking once, hmm

Unlucky mate, still, the best drivers pass second time
I failed my first time because I indicated to come off the roundabout, came off, and then didnt notice the indicator hadnt switched off, and drove a couple of hundred yards before realising! I think there's a certain amount of luck - on anoher day the instructor would have let you off and passed you. I passed on my second attempt but I drove out of the test centre at the start with my lights off when it was dark! Instructor just prompted me to turn them on Really it should have been a major there & then.
Good luck on your retest!
International driving licenses are only valid for a year when you come back to the UK, so you would still have to pass a UK driving license eventually. Plus unless Nick looks Indian, he would probably have extra hassle if he ever gets stopped by the police.
There is an Indian woman in my office who emigrated to the UK recently, and despite having an Indian driving license and experience, she has had all sorts of trouble driving in the UK. She was stopped by the police practically the first time she hit the road in the UK.
Tough break there Nick. Best not to think of it as a fail, but as a more expensive lesson...........
I've always said that you learn more on a test than a normal lesson anyway. Still best of luck for next time mate.
