    See the light

My goat has been soundly got this winter.
Whilst speeding appears to be the big thing to stop and clamp down on, no-one seems bothered about vehicles that aren't fit for the road. My daily drive, in the dark to and from work, sees countless cars with faulty lights or incorrect lighting.
There's a huge number of cars with one headlamp, so they use main beam to counter it. Why do people drive on sidelights and fogs, too lazy to change a brakelight bulb? Even in rain or fog, you see people with no lights at all.
There's an increasing number of vehicles with faulty or badly adjusted lights, so shouldn't "safety cameras" catch them too? Are the Police that bothered, doesn't seem so.
    Rant over, and calm....

I'll second this, one head light plus fogs only one brake light seen regularly here to.

It's criminal the amount of A) badly adjusted headlights I see at night, dazzling me into oblivion and B) ones that just plain don't work, or one works, so they counteract it with foglights, etc.

Drives me mad I think my headlamps work rather well, I've got decent Osram bulbs but they're adjusted PROPERLY so it lights up the road, not the poor bugger in the other lane

And my high beams work great

Check your headlights people! And clean the lenses occasionally, it'll make them work better

apart from the chavs with blue tinted headlamps (which get *really* annoying and is becoming increasingly common - accutally all these people with faulty lights will probably replace them with these!)i cant say ive noticed or even care.

On a rural road it would be dangerous, but i cant say I dont forget lights occasionally in town becuase you dont notice it get dark with so much streetlighting...

A police riot van once stopped next to me when I was leaving a carpark. Couldnt understand them shouting becuase of accents but I had forgotten lights

Poorly adjusted headlights that point up just annoy the hell out of me. Had one right on my tail along a country lane for a good mile the other day, was blinding me in rear view mirror and both side mirrors. Obviously i dipped the interior one but my exteriors are manual ones that you have the move from the outside. Really dangerous

if its that dangerous, pull over, let them past...

most people don't know how to adjust their headlight hight - i have to twizzle mine if i've anyone in the back of the car, let alone carrying a load.. sometimes i forget, so sometimes i'm probably guilty..

problem with duff bulbs is the cost/effort in replacing one. mine cost £9, and took 30 mins to fit, had to take the whole unit out with screwdrivers..
