Hi all!
I dont know if anyone can help me but if i dont ask I wont know will I? Here it goes.... I am replacing the head gasket on my J Reg Citroen AX and Im a little confused. I have drained the coolent system and removed the rocker cover etc etc, I am now trying to get the engine in TDC (Top Dead Centre) as this is the order in which the haynes manual suggests. Now I have put a 6mm drill head through th hole in the cylender block into the hole of the fly wheel to lock the engine in TDC. I then skrewd a bolt into the cylender block through the cam shaft sprocket which was aligned fine. The problem is there are 2 more bolts that im am supposed to skrew though the injection pump sproket to lock that into place but they dont align, although the flywheel and cam shaft sproket have been locked!! I have tried to align them up without worying about the fly wheel or cam shaft sproket and even then the holes dont seem to align!? is it a possiblity that the injection pump sproket has been replaced with a different one? if so, would you say that the engine is in TDC as I have locked the fly wheel and cam shaft sproket into place? Sorry for the long post
