    HX620 : Floopy Y cable

My DFI mobo requires additional power to it in the form of the floppy connector, and the single supplied cable will not reach between the mobo connection point and the actual floppy drive.

I've following the advice herein and requested an additional Y-connector for my recently purchased HX620. Sure enough, I received a response from Corsair stating that they'd send me the cables, and about 6 weeks later I received a package from your good selves.

Many thanks, much appreciated, can't complain about the service at all to be honest... except...

I've now got 2 extra 6/8 pin PCIe modular cables.

Before I go through this loop again (and now I feel almost like I'm stealing), is there any other way I can get the Y connector?

    Cheers in advance!

    P.S.
Yes, I did mean Floopy... I just couldn't bring myself to talk about my floppy cable....

I also have a HX620 and a DFI board with that extra socket, but the manual tells me this extra power is only needed if you have 2 graphics cards (doesn't make much sense because this is a non-sli board), and even then it'll run without the extra power - it only serves to make the machine more stable

Some would say that's more enough reason to begin with!

Others would say that should you ever go to the DFI Street forums and admit not having everything plugged in, that they would (sometimes impolitely) tell you to stop wasting their time until you have.

I dunno if you've ever had a DFI board before, but the SLI-DR was one of the most finicky boards I've ever had. Rock solid when you've got it cracked, but so painful getting there!

right, I assumed it was extra stability only if you have more than one graphics card, but I'll plug it in anyway
