    Corsair HX520 Modular cables

    hi

i read the sticky regarding the modular cables for a 6+2 header, but i have no proof of purchase unfortunately, can i still contact corsair or will i be turned away? if i took a picture with a certain code or something written on a piece of paper on the psu to prove it's mine?

    thanks

What is this about the HX520? A problem? I'm about to order this PSU, if there's something I should know about, may I know it? thanks

it's only a problem because he has no proof of purchase.
when some new graphics card came out that the HX520 didn't have a connector for, Corsair were very kind and offered a free adapter to fit this new card if you had proof of purchase of your PSU.

a million miles away from a 'problem' tbh.

    Re: Corsair HX520 Modular cables

all newer "versions" of the HX620/520 should come with 8pin PCI-E cables now, unless its really old stock.

If you get old stock its no problem, just hit up Corsair support and they'll send you some for free. (I've done it so it works)

We've offered the new cables with our PSUs for about a year or more now. There's virtually no way you'll get an older with the old cable bundle unless you buy it from a vendor in rural Antarctica.

!!! I guess I'll have to fly to UK to buy my PSU... just when I thought Antarctica was finally catching up with the times...

    Re: Corsair HX520 Modular cables

rather than to start a new thread, for how many days is my RMA number valid?

i received it on the 11th December but i don't want to/can't sent this side of christmas. I will send either 20th/21st December .. will the code still be ok?

    Re: Corsair HX520 Modular cables

The confirmation email should tell you how long that number is valid. If you used TSX Express, you should be able to log back in and send a message to extend the RMA date or get a new number.

    Re: Corsair HX520 Modular cables

thank you so much, for those of you requesting cables corsair sent me 4xpcie cables, there were 2 x 6+2 pin cables and a single cable with 2x6+2 pin. not sure if i can use the single cable with 2x6+2 pin as its 1 cable powering my whole 3870x2, would i not be better using the 2 pcie cable, worried using 1 cable will put all on one rail??? lot people say hx520 is single rail, other say its triple rail?? anyway thanks so much this psu is great.

    thanks yellowbeard for the link.

p.s - my ddr3 corsair is great and my h50 too. love corsair. if corsair was a women i definately would. lol
