Blue LED Fan

Ok so Im looking for some good blue led fans. That dont make much noise...
First I wanted to buy some Thermaltake Thunderblade fans. They are supposed to push 79CFM at 21DB.. When I saw this, I was thinking "Oh my god, must have!"
But when I searched for a review I was dissapointed

In the review the guys says that the 21DB is a lie... (anyone here has this fan, ?.. maybe the guy in the review is lying )

So does anyone know some good 120mmfans (for my Thermalright ultra 120extreme) with blue leds ?

Sharkoon golfball fans on scan, extremely quiet, push plenty of air. I got an LED one by accident , I think LEDs are tackier than anything heh, I like an understated stylish box...

Yep golfballs are great fans, the coolermaster ones are also very quiet, I have both and there's little difference in it. The golf ball is the best for noise, the coolermaster moves a shade more air.

Neither shove a lot of air though so if you want the best from your TRUE you might want to compromise on the led and get a decent scythe slipstream or S-Flex.

Hmmmm... Cant decide between S-Flex (which is the best fan atm right ?)... or a blue led fan ^^

If you want to be 'leet' just get a yate loon fan and mod some LEDs on there, they're widely seen as 'very good' fans. The best are probably noctuas but they cost an absolute fortune (like, £20 / $40 a fan!).

I used 6 thunderblades on my water cooling and i wouldnt believe the 21db claim either. I upgraded to antek 3 speed fans, as quiet as you want them.

well as you've posted newegg links I take it you're from the US so links to uk retailiers aren't much use to you.

I'd say nether of thoes fans.
that thermaltake looks exactly the same as the Akasa ble led fan I have which is quite good, however I'd never use a fan that's controlled by a knob on the rear of my pc on the cpu (too much faffing about to adjust it)
The APEVIA looks like a real el-cheapo and it's a molex, so I'd never put that on a cpu cooler and el-cheapo fans have bad vibration problems in my experience which would require a lot of "creative" fitting on a cooler to reduce.

There's quite a few names I don't really recognise on newegg as they don't seem to get this side of the pond.

I can vouch for Sharkoon Silent Eagle's. They're very quiet and shift a lot of air.

I have an Akasa fan control pro, with 2 sharkoon silent eagles 1000, and 1 silent eagle 2000 blue LED.
I don't know if the 1000s come in the LED version, but they are really really quiet.
The 2000s are reasonably quiet but a fair bit louder than the 1000s, but with my fan controller it is nice n quiet.

I've got four of the 120 Thunderblades in the Akasa Omega rig I built for the missus. They are quite easily the loudest fans I have by a *long* way when running at full tilt (~2,000rpm).

However, hooked to a Scythe fan controller, they're manageable and at ~1500rpm are quieter than the Antec Tri-Cools (on high) in my own rig and still move enough air to keep things cool.

Thermaltake are deserving of a slap for their "creative" advertising; yes, they're probably around 21dBa at minimum RPM, and yes, they probably are pushing ~79cfm (at a good pressure, too) at maximum RPM, however, the two cannot be achieved at the same time.

I don't usually buy TT products 'cause they seem to have something of a (bad) rep and I personally associate them with "cheap and cheerful" rather than decent performing, high-end.

It has to be said though that noise notwithstanding, the 120mm Thunderblades are great value for a nice looking LED fan for about 4 quid a pop...

Anyone got any experience with the SilenX LED fans that could vouch for their (even more amazing) 14dBa/72cfm claims?

Passed them on to relatives , now ones come back to haunt me , well actually it's sitting in a spare Globalwin (Akasa Eclipse case)

Edit: it's not the LED fan but definitely claimed 14dba
