    are some brighter or just look better than other makes.

    Any recommendations?

    i dont think that there is a huge difference is cc's across the different makes ,with uv ones yes there is but normal ones not really.

    the only differences i suppose are the colours some makes tend to be pale and some deep

    The main differences are in what you get for your money. Some come with uninsulated invertors (very bad), no switch, crappy tubes and a basic power cable

    others are better. tbh u can't beat the ebuyer ones for under a tenner for twin tubes

    their the sunbeam ones, and they are good

    myself, i have some from casetech.co.uk, very bright UV tubes - better than ebuyers imho
