If I had two drive bays worth of space to play with and wanted a pump (12V or 230V, I'm not bothered) what would you suggest?
I'm looking for a good amount of head, given that two rads are used in the loop.
Cheers,
Kez.

the swiftech MCP600 rev 2 (aka aquaxtreme 50z) or the DDC12v: These are the two best watercooling pumps avaliable both give enormous head and are ideal for restrictive setups.
the aqua extreme is now available from extreme-prometeia
i did have the dd12 and it was quite whiney but a great pump!

Ya, i'd say the 12v pumps are better and they give off less EMI.
I'm a sucker for Hydor L30's, similar specifications as an Eheim 1250, much smaller and £20 cheaper. What more d'ya want?
Wouldnt use an ehiem.. as they cost so much.. but maybe a L20 as they are small and silent, and best of all cheap..
The D4 is one of the best pumps, although in theory it *could* dump more heat into the water, but only a small amount more.. It is slightly niosy however.. atleast the first revision.
Im having to run mine at 6.5v insteal of 12v.. becuase theres not enough water in the res, a lot of air gets sucked in at 12v...
The MPC600 is a good pump, but Ive not seen the 600 anywhere for sale, and it had reliability issues?
The DDC is also very good, especially with the inlet mod (as stock it has 90° very restrivtive inlet)
This shows the differences quite well..:

The later revisions of the D4s are supposed to be more quiet. I have also seen a D5 for sale on coolercases.co.uk, which is supposed to be further improved with a built-in controller (good idea, since a D4 can draw 2A of current, which is more than a typical fan controller can allow on one channel). I haven't really read much about the D5, though.
If you could list the block(s) as well it would be easier.Originally Posted by Kez
