Am I right in thinking that you have to remove the molex connectors to be able to fit this stuff?

    Braiding looks class!

Someone left a note on a piece of cake in the fridge that said, "Do not eat!". I ate the cake and left a note saying, "Yuck, who the hell eats paper ?

That could be a problem...but i guess you could insulate the ends with plastic caps or something...and make sure it's well away from the mobo!!

the one from Kustom looks like metal tubing but its actually plastic & is split lengthways so its a doddle to use & causes no mobo shorting type worries

i actually have (approx) 1.5 ft of this stuff still lying around in my spare room - built a pc for a mate with a window & he wanted some used on his - if u are gonna use this pm me & i'll dig it out
if it ain't broke...fix it till it is

    With braiding yes.
If you look inside one of the ends of the molex, you'll see little barbs holding each pin into the plastic cover. You carefully bend each barb so that it's flush with the rest of the pin, and slide them out.
Then slip the braiding on, seal the ends with some heat shrink if you want to, and open up those barbs again.

Just be sure that you know which way they go back into the plug, after you've put the braiding on cos many modders have accidentally swapped the 12v and 5v lines around (which can be detrimental to the well being of your HDD and optical drives
