Silverstone FM121 & akasa pro fan control problem.. :(

HI, I GOT MY FAN CONTROLELR today but im having trouble with the fan speed controlling...

on the fan controlre are (4) 3 pin connectors and on the fan theres a cable with 3 pins... i connect the two but when i turn the knob, the rpm doesnt change!

HOWEVER with the fan (the PCI fan controller) check scan if im confusing u, this works and moving the kob changes the speed, if i conenct both the PCi one and the akasa fan controller, changing the speed with the PCI one reads on the akasa with the correct RPM...

but the knobs on the akasa do not work for me.. any ideas?

sorry if i confused you, was veyr hard to explain!!!

you need to ditch the controller that came with the fan and wire it up directly to the akasa controller.

exactly what i thought, i unplugged the two pin connector on which the fan control came with, and left it empty, and with the 3 pin connector on the fan connected it to the akasa!

still the fan will just not control and just belt out full speeds

does the akasa have temp sensors? Ive had a few fan controllers that didnt play nicely with certain fans. Maybe you have to select manual control on the akasa? Im not familiar with it sorry

hi i have recently bought 4 of these:
    Silverstone SST-FM121B Fan 120mm, Black, 800~2400 rpm
    in black - 9 Blade
    http://scan.co.uk/Products/ProductIn...oductID=499624
& the Fan controller im tryign to use:
    http://www.akasa.co.uk/akasa_english...c_ak_fc_03.htm

ive tried conencting just one fan so i can control the
RPM on the fan but doesnt work!

the 3 pin connector on the fan was connected to my
AKasa Fan Control Pro, and the 2 pin left unconnected
and the fan control knob doesnt change the RPM... but
    it reads the RPM

however if the 2 pin connector is connected to the
included PCI fan control, and the 3 pin to the Akasa
Fan control Pro the RPM changes via the included fan
control and the Akasa Fan Control Pro reads the RPM
    speed!

so how can i get both the RPM to be read, and the RPM
to change by JUST the Akasa controller? i dont want to
use the PCI fan control that was included..

thats the email i sent to silverstone, perhaps some1 will eb able to help me better if u read that

does the 3-pin actually have 3 wires into it or just the 1?
Looking at reviews on the web it looks like just the 1 in which case it's just the rpm sense.
If that's the case you can't control it from the 3-pin connector as you need to be able to vary the power to the fan which is what the other 2 wires would provide.
