PS3 In Stock on Play.com?

Is anyone else finding it odd that Play.com are listing the PS3 as 'In Stock' 6 days before release? Anyone pre-order one from there and have theirs posted already?

Very odd. I think its a usual Play strategy, advertising stock when they don't have any for sale. Unless they got their weeks mixed up!

This console bundle will be removed from sale when our initial stock allocation is reached. All pre-orders should be dispatched for delivery on launch day.

Yeah but until today it said something like Pre-Order, due for release 25/03/06.

To be honest, very few people have sold out of their pre-order stock.
GAME and Gamestation were still taking them in town today, along with Virgin and HMV!

I got an email from ChoicesUK a few days ago advertising that I could still pre-order a PS3 and get it delivered for launch date. I was expecting the PS3 to have been fully sold out on pre-order already and not be available for a month after that.

Maybe too many people are put off by the price and the way Sony have dealt with the delaying of the console and launch in the US.

I know what you mean Djphatic, it does get people angry when, we the uk pay more and get it last, it's really silly and thats one of the many reasons i imported mine, i know i dont get all the support and stuff, but that doesn't really bother me that much any way. Further that note it also gets surgery done to it aswell! (removing the EE)
