the same i got the three rings of death. i then phoned them on there support number and it took over 1 hour to get through but they did pick it up and then gave me a new one for free.

I just got off the phone with them and managed to get free repair .
He said no at first but I was a little firmer and he went away to consult the manager, he came back and said that as a gesture of good will he would give me free repair! Only took about 10 minuets as well so overall I'm pleased with the service. All I have to do is pack it in a box and the they do the rest. Kudos for Microsoft in my book (apart from the xbox breaking in the first place )
Thanks for all your comments btw, I think they helped in the phone call. If I hadn't managed to get free repairs I was seriously considering the hack jobs you lot have been telling me about

It just got picked up today. Anyone know if its possible to track the progress?
mine did exactly the same, problem appears to be internal when it does the freezing and 3 red lights appear according to ms. i sent mine off and a new one came within a week.
My new one is being silly keeps hanging at random times hope its not going to die again :@(

Got a new one delivered to me today. So far so good. All free of charge too
Where did you buy it from? With my first one I had a mate at game that change my 360 for a new one on the spot.
