Is it extra cost or just a free upgrade for beta users?

It's free until 30th June. After that anyone who hasn't already downloaded it will need to pay for it.

I downloaded the update I had though WiiConnect, started it and thought WTF nothings different, so I uninstalled that and downloaded it manually...

Theres a marked difference and well worth the download. Features include:

Operations Guide - Haven't gone into it properly but theres 10 sections to it including an FAQ.
    Zoom Type: Manual, automatic
Tool Bar Display : Always Display, Auto-Hide, Button Toggle with the (1) button.
    Default Search Engine: Google, Yahoo
    Delete Cookies
Adjust Display Width - WiiOpera can now be full screen..Yay.
    Proxy Settings Available

Text looks clearer but still not pin sharp. It could just be the size of my TV though. You can also zoom right out of a page so that the entire page is on the screen; though it's not readable in anyway. Zooming right in also gives much sharper text.

Scrolling is also much less annoying; the scroll arrows only appear when you are scrolling and they are less intrusive. You also get a stretchy arrow thing that points in the direction that your scrolling and and gets longer or shorter deepening on how fast you scroll.

Thats all I have noticed so far along with the subtle styling changes which are more bold looking imo. If you have a wii it is well worth getting.....now

EDIT: There is also a search button on the toolbar. I can't remember if that was there before or not so ignore me if it was.

Had a play today, and feels better, clearer indications of loading, and either youtube has changed or its something they added to the browser, as youtube now works fine.

All in all, worth it (er cos its free...) - Nice one
