That story reminds me how lucky I was when I got my Wii.

I just walked into HMV in stafford bought a Wii + extra controller + nunchuck without any problems.

^^ Agreed, just been playing on it for hours with my housemate..we had a blast on the Vs mode for a while (lots of 5 goal games..takes 20-30mins a match lol) and then tried going online. Had one game but as i'm with plus.net who limit the internet to 56k speeds from 4pm till midnight it didnt work well..should be awesome with a working internet connection though

Going to have a go on the single player after i've eaten..definitely one of the best games i've bought for my wii so far though.

hehe yea, well we can try to do soem online play before 4pm some time Spud hehe. I'll add your code tonight.

This is definatly one of the best games for the system at the moment.
Really feels like effort was put into it. Granted they don't use motion sensing much but I'm not fussed. Makes a change from mini games.

I think I may have to pick this up on the way home tonight then

Is there any online league structure set up or any player cards showing wins losses etc?

Just went to town today - most places are totally out of it - Game, Gamestation, HMV, Virgin, Tesco all out of stock. Finally saw it at Woolies for 34.99 so thought, well its only a fiver more than i wanted to pay, so its sitting in my bag, waiting to be used... But i have to stay late at work!!! Gah!!! And I got Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles for GC through the post from the 'bay too!!!

Oh well - just couldnt resist anymore... Expect to see my friend code in the other thread soon.

I also thought that after the first game that I had in the fire cup, but as you progress, I seemed to think that it was really tough to actually get a megashot off, as you will get closed down too quick.

Also, after getting pummelled a few times online, I've begun experimenting with the different sidekicks, the abilities (and I mean the dodge ability as well as the skillshot) can have a big say so that you dont rely too much on the captain for goals.

Havent had that much time to spend on it, so not experimented too much but I'm with Bowser (Was the first I picked for some reason - so stuck with him), the Boo, One of the hammer Bros (Great skillshot) and the defensive position is still up for grabs...

...I never thought i would be talking like this about this game

It is a good laugh though!
