    Importing Wiimotes + Nunchucks

Afternoon folks (and a Friday at that - yay!)...

Anyone know if US or Jap controllers will work OK on a UK Wii?

Edit: I can find people saying that Jap controllers work on a US Wii so assume it's OK... Also appear to be lots of US wiimotes on ebay (.co.uk)

Surely there cant be much of a difference in price between UK and JP? You may end up paying more in duty, tax and shipping

I thinking more of US vs UK

    Wiimote + Nunchuck = £45 - 50 here (when in stock)

Wiimote + Nunchuck = $60 in the US (and stock is supposed to be better)

FYI I'm probably popping out to the US soon so am thinking of picking 1 or 2 up while I'm there (thread title would leave you to believe I was talking about getting them sent over so understand why you answered as such)

It should work. Only consoles and software have been region encoded in the past.

My American Wavebird controller works fine on my GC and my Wii.

Nintendo do not region encode their gaming controllers, and I'm happy to report that there is indeed no trouble using Japanese remotes or classic controllers with a european wii

Buy Wiiplay (with free Wiimote) for £29.99 and stick the game itself on eBay, as it goes for over a tenner (sometimes as high as £16). One sub-£20 Wiimote! And ChoicesUK.com have the Wii Nunchuk for £12.99 delivered. That brings the total to ~£30.

Uh-oh.... think I've just talked myself into a third Wiimote/Nunchuk.

Edit: Here's a £29.99 WiiPlay In Stock link, because I'm Captain Generous and procrastinating before beginning this week's reports.
