Wireless headset

Hi,

Just got a wireless headset and i cant hear anything.

The light has come up on the headset and console, but still cant hear chats or voicemails.

Can anyone help me? Is there a setting in dashboard i need to enable?

I have also noticed that the battery life for the headset is not showing at the top.... like below

What channel is it tuned to? Also, is your console fully up to date?

Yes it's fully up to date.

I've tried it on all channels.

Do you think it's duff?

Hmmm. If it's on channel 1 and it isn't showing up on the dash then I'd say it was a duff. Do you live close to someone else with a 360? There's a remote possibility that it tuned to theirs.

Other than that then I'd say it was broken.

EDIT: Do you have the wired headset plugged in?

No, the wired one is disconnected.

Ah ha! i've fixed it...... just tried it with the other controller and now they both work fine.

Doesn't make any sense at all. Thats though for your input.

I just remembered that one of my friends had a problem like that. It wouldn't work when using a wireless controller but it worked fine with a wired one . Glad you got it working though

That was the exact same problem i had. Just to confirm, i also couldn't get it to work with the original controller. I did claim in another post i got it working. But having doing the same test it doesn't work.
