Any 65nm XBOX360 release date?

Hi,

My brother just took my XBOX 360 to Uni so I'm in need of another one, I'm not in any great rush to get one but if there's no reason to wait I may as well get one now.

Does anyone know when the new 65nm versions are out and if it would be worth waiting? Last I heard was that they would be here end-of August/mid September and they would be "quieter, cooler and use less power" (I'd really like a quieter one, the last one was irritatingly noisy)

I'd appreciate any information, searching google returns about a million different supposed release dates so maybe nobody knows yet?

As far as im aware they have just gone into production so a couple of months maybe.

There is no exact release date, but reading throught this article shows that there is going to be some confusion in the coming months.

If you’re in the market for an Xbox 360 but really want to wait for the highest-quality machine, in theory you might want to wait until Falcon. Here’s the trick. Some of those Xbox 360s with the HDMI ports, especially the Xbox 360 Elites, are being made with 90-nanometer chips on Zephyr boards. Some of them will have 65-nm chips on Falcon boards. I really don’t know how you’re going to be able to tell the difference. If you’re buying an Xbox 360 without HDMI, then for sure you aren’t getting Falcon.

Plus the article says that Falcon based units are probably on a ship heading for the states now.
