If your console is in fact broken then sending it back to Microsoft and getting it repaired is free as long as it's in warranty. They pay for the whole lot

Mine has done the same thing, only happened yesterday. Tried a component cable and vga, neither working.

Not sure about the warranty as I bought it second hand and no receipt!!
