you need to get a mic lad so i have a fellow 'random abuser' to school the other noobs
i just need to get my rank up again, it sucks that my fave weapon is the last one you open . . .and the fact prestige mode takes away all your stuff every time

Yes i will set a mic sorted out i did get one with warhawk but that one seems to have gone missing and i ordered a playstation eye on the 10th of december from ebay that i was going to use as a mic, but that still has not turned up.

ive just been on holiday for a week, so only started playing again yesterday but had no problems connecting then!

i keep getting the 'Downloading game settings' screen of death every time i tried it lets me collect my name, guild and rank when i log in but as soon as i try to select a game i get it i was that bored last night trying to get on that i finally gave up and decided to convert all the film used cars on NFS Pro Street into what they look like in the films :S i needz my team Deathmatches

cheers for last night dude, as soon as you added to game i could get into them ok afterwards . . . until i reset the console when i had to dash out. i tried to get back online and got the 'Downloading game settings' message, but now i know its just me as you can get on ok - do you think the COD4 PSN helpline will be able to actually do anything?
its killing me!!! its the best game online . . . .and i cant get on it

its worth a trying to phone or email them i guess i cant really think of anything else to suggest!

manged to fix it last night, after holding the line for 20 minutes i just went onto the website. the "DOWNLOADING GAME SETTINGS" FAQ only explains what happens when its displayed as soon as you enter Online play, where as i had access to my Barrracks, retrieved my rank, could change my custom classes and such. it only happened when i tried to find game then it locked up. eventually i got a reply saying that it happens in that case when a data packet gets lost during play, in my case it was game selection. the only way to resolve this is to delete all saved data and reload the game - so i did, lost my campaign stats and such but managed to get back online with my existing stats so its not a total loss so im happily back in game kicking ass and taking names

thats good to hear mate! i think there has been alot of problems since the patch came out!
