    Call of Duty: Modern Warfare

(sorry if i mised a post about this)
i bought my PS3 to enjoy consle games again and play online at will and leave at any time, from reciently Quitting World of Warcraft (VERY demanding online times) and i managed to complete this game before i registered my PS3 online and have to say that i have never been so impressed with a console 1st person strat/shooter in my life!
Worth every penny and as soon as i was registered online - the matches are INSANE! i purchased COD with the console and have bought 5 games since, once the games have been polished off i find myself hooked again to the online combat of this game. maps are designed for all styles of battlefield combat - Close combat (Shotguns, SMG's), Assault, Sniper etc. the unlockables online are based on rank but are VERY easy to achieve and all custom slots have their perks which you can customise such things like:
Last Stand - pull out your pistol as you die to try and get that last kill!
Martydom - Drops grenades on death to try and polish off the surronding enemies.
Bullet Penetration - Shoot through thicker walls (a MUST for any sniper)
Overkill - carry 2 primary weapons (for you John Rambo's playing )
    and tons more!!!
VERY cool game, lives up the the hype and worth every penny - if you like 1st person shooters: this is for you

    come play with me

Yep - Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare on the PS3 really went down well. It got a metascore of 94%

Personally though i prefer my fps games on the PC - although im sure i am going to have to get some console fps practice in for when Killzone 2 hits the PS3

Yes, i have seen very mixed reviews about this, would'nt mind getting one but it would have to be the wireless version.

Re: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare

its a great game, played it on my cousins PS3..still suffers from dire controls, but I was impressed with the look of it and how well the multiplayer works - both online and in split screen mode.

If only my PC could make it look like that Need some money for an upgrade I think..

Re: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare

I received it for the 360 at Christmas and I initially thought "err, ummm, I'll see what it's like", having never played a COD game and having avioided console FPS in favour of a PC version (keyboard & mouse).

However having completed it thats all I can say is its just a fantastic game...very nearly a masterpiece. The controls a very, very good and the experience I had when I was playing it was like no other game I've played. If you haven't got it then I URGE you to buy it. I'm trying to get my mate to get it for his PS3, because he is missing out on something here.

I don't know what the situation is with co-op games on the PS3, but the only complaints I have is that it NEEDS a co-op mode and I wish it were longer. The ending was a bit sudden and unexpected tbh. If they sort this out in the next game then it could be something special I feel.

oh yeah, the ending is a bit abrupt and i wish it could have been concluded a little better but i thought it was VERY epic on the bridge - i really did like this
i keep wacking it on during Oblivion still as im adicted to the online team Deathmatches

Re: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare

i dont think there is mate, i did it on recruit and elite but the ending is the same - you just gotta shoot the 3 targets quicker in Elite otherwise you're teacakes
both also unlock the same epilogue mission too on the Airliner.
