Anyone else having a problem with XBL?

Xbox LIVE Status (Updated)

You may have noticed that the LIVE service has been having a few issues over the past few days. This includes things like signing in, matchmaking and account recovery. Not everyone has had problems, but I know some of you have and I wanted to give you and update. While the service was never completely offline, problems like this are not acceptable. The entire LIVE team has been working day and night to ensure that you can have a great LIVE experience. While we’re not done yet, I wanted to let you know that things are getting better each hour and that no one on the team is going anywhere until the job is done. Thanks for your patience.

Edit: As people have noticed, we have made good progress. We have a bit more work to do, but we’re doing much better now. I know some of you still may be having issues, and we’re working on those. Oh, and Happy New Year to those that are celebrating.

Taken from Major Nelson's blog. Somethings wrong with the LIVE system its been playing up for ages now, can't get any games in COD4 and Halo3 had a right mess with the matchmaking.

The machmaking on COD4 seemed to be working ok again yesterday, I have had trouble with partys and TDM the last few days.

Could not get a game on COD at all today, well since 3pm when I came hope from work

This must be serious....

could be a number of things, chage of a few switches, firewalls on the periphery of the network, large scale harware upgrade in the center (tat has been either badly planned or has not been tested properly), possible bad update to the central software or maybe just a unlucky harware failure. The best thing they could do is take it down totaly get it sorted in a short a time as possible and put it back up. They are spinning plates at the moment.

its been funny for at least a week now, signing me out of xbl when i load up sensi and the orange box

last night trying to get into team deathmatches with a few friends in a party on cod4 it would keep throwing at least one of us out. very annoying.

It's been quite bad for a couple of weeks now. At least COD4 was working ok today

hehe, I've had FNR3 sat here for ages waiting to be played, got it cheap of ebay a while back and never got around to playing it, until now

Yep, people have every right to be pissed when they're paying for a service. I just wish more people would be more vocal about our crappy ADSL so we can actually get some decent communication infrastructure set up.

It's still slow for me, but not nearly as bad as it was before.
