    Crackdown - genius

Is it me or is Crackdown one of the most underrated games ever?

I've completed it twice now and on the 3rd time round.
I'm just going through getting all my achievements on it.

Does anyone else agree that it's more fun than Halo 3? (Halo 3 being a good shooter, with many cutscenes and pretty graphics). Crackdown is just more FUN.

News jsut in GDC 2008 = Real Time Worlds' Crackdown won Best Debut. Nice.

    Re: Crackdown - genius

I agree that Crackdown is a great deal of fun but I don't think it's really comparable to Halo, they're each a different type of game. To be honest I reckon there're better games than either of them in the scheme of things.

The 4th CoD is the best by far! I'd agree that crackdown was more 'fun' than halo 3 but halo despite its flaws and annoyances is a better game.

    Re: Crackdown - genius

Crackdown is just gaming brilliance! It's so much fun. I just love games that yell "we have little to no story, but who cares, just go around and enjoy doing crazy ass stuff".

That's exactly what Crackdown is and boy did I have fun playing it in co-op, trying all sorts of wacky stunts. The best sandbox game so far in my opinion.

I even found all 500 agility orbs. Good work, Agent.

    Re: Crackdown - genius

lol, I enjoyed playing and completing both of them. Prefered Halo 3 though - it has a storyline... and you can still go and mess around on forge/multiplayer if you want

Crackdown took my friend and I about 2 hours to complete (just the storyline) whereas we've spent about 4 hrs playing Halo 3 and still haven't completed legendary (two more missions to go...)

Both of them are better than CoD 4 in my opinion... They have replay value, whereas CoD 4 is a once only game for me. I completed it on hardest in about 5 or 6 hours (first time of playing) and decided that it wasn't worth it. Changed it for Bladestorm at my local store... Bladestorm's quite good - but not in the same set of genres as either Halo 3 or Crackdown...

Pong is better than Halo3 so it doesn't really say much!

Crackdown is a good laugh though, I really enjoyed playing it!

    Re: Crackdown - genius

lol I know what you mean - i have 15 Agility orbs to go. *fume*

The main game acheivements to get are the Agility Orbs, Sticking 5 dudes to one vehicle with the Harpoon gun (harder than it sounds), Master Agent (nearly there), all the rings and races.
    So damn close.

Yeah crackdown is definitely one of the most underrated games going imo. So much fun, and co-op is just pure brilliance. Driving around is a little lame, but who drives? Dunno about the rest of you, but I find jumping from roof top to roof top much more fun and exiting .
