Got this down soon after it was leaked, fortunately my brother went through the game to find it kept crashing which saved me the hassle ;D
Might actually buy it when it comes out though.

for the most part, i actually prefer the investigation. i love the feeling of freedom as i run and jump across the rooftops, diving onto guards before they can finish saying "you shouldn't be up here". and finding the routes up to the most interesting view points is great fun
Speaking of that i had a hell of a time getting up the cathederal in acre (pretty sure it was here) last night. I couldn't for the life of me figure out a way up there . The castle there was a fun challenge too. I dont think im that far away from finishing it now though. I have taken out 6 targets so far so i think its 3 to go.
for me there's a terribly fine line between "freedom" and "aimlessness". i can't stomach a game with no aim, yet i like being able to play my way. consider deus ex, where you knew what you were trying to do, but the "how" was largely your choice. that's just perfect for me. something like oblivion, on the other hand, left me cold - why am i doing what i'm doing?
Yeah - I get what you mean - although I did enjoy Oblivion so long as I had an aim - to get more power for example, or following a particular quest. Once the quests died down (and the story had finished) it got boring very quickly. I suppose that's part of it to - I like things that a story-driven. I'm not one for online gaming - WOW bored the pants off me for example - except when i'm playing with a good friend against the AI.
You hit the nail on the head there, mate. WOW is more of a social exercise - sure there's a backstory, which you know as you play it, but questing with friends, or raiding with guildies is a real fun to be had, here. Being part of a guild leads to chat, helping you with quests or instances, crafting you equipment etc. is most of the reason why the game doesn't stop being fun, IMHO.
This hot girl came over to myspace last night, she twittered my yahoo till I

New Release Date for Assassin's Creed PC
New release date information has been released for Assassin's Creed on PC! The game will be on store shelves beginning April 8, 2008. PC gamers, mark your calendars!
Arse.
I have heard it is a good game , was waiting for its release and then hear from somebody as to how the PC version performs, those who have played it, is it similar to any game? I hated oblivion, it felt pointless and a waste of time, like many members have pointed out in the previous posts....

I don't normally buy games in the high street but at lunch noticed HMV selling Assassins Creed on the PS3 for £25. Part of me wants to wait for the PC though, i dont know why :|
