CycloDS or R6 ?
Which card is better ?
Thanks
Anyone ?
I can't comment on the R6, but I've got a CycloDS evolution and can't fault it.
IMHO M3DS Real is way better
note the real, not the M3DSsimply
edit: forgot to mention that the r6 range are exactly the sam as the m3 range but the r6 has built in storage and the m3 uses microsd cards (so is more expandable)

I have a cyclods as well and its immense well happy with it
when you get one make sure to get your updated system software here
theres also lots of homebrew apps on thatsite i highly reccomend pocket physics
Thanks for the feedback guys
From what i've been reading the CycloDS seems the best choice as it's European based team that runs it with a English support forum and they update the cards firmware on a regular bases and the Software by all accounts is really nice to use unlike some of the other cards where the software seems to be Chinese based thats been converted to English with flakey menus.
.
I've tried a few different ones and I also favour the CycloDS. I agree with your comments about support and firmware Ice Tea, plus I've never had a problem getting games to run that have been problematic with certain other flash carts. The interface is nice too, and there are some cool skins available on their forum.
Thanks
I'm pretty much set on getting a CycloDS now
Just trying to find the best place to buy one as some of these mod chip sites look abit dodgy.
.
I spent a while Looking around various forums before buying, and most of the cheap places you'll see look do seem to be incredibly dodgy.
I got my CycloDS from Mobymemory and they were fine (used them several times in the past as well). Aria had some in stock a while back as well.
There may be other reputable places that have it cheaper though...
Thanks capt_cornflake
Thread Resurrection Time!
My son's got a DS Lite and he's got about 16-17 games for it. Having already had a couple of "near misses" with regard to game cards going missing, I want to get him a backup device so that I can put all his games on one card and not have to worry about him losing them.
I've been looking at The Cyclo DS here: http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Gadge...roductId=30463
(I know you're all thinking *cough*piratedgames*cough* but I'm making it perfectly clear to him that he's only having the games he owns on there.
Which looks to be OK, but need to know a few things:
- Most of these backup devices go on about being able to play ROM files on there, but to actually back up the ones he has seems to be a big of a long-winded procedure, and also needs extra kit - http://www.monroeworld.com/myfaq/ind...129&artlang=en
Are there any good all-in-one devices that can do all this? Preferably one where you don't have to have a slot 2 card poking out of the bottom for just playing the games...
I'm afraid so buddy
AFAIK All DS games are encrypted, thus come under many different laws when backing them up.
I'm not a lawyer though sadly so I don't want to say much more than that in fear of getting it wrong. For this reason we step firmly on the side of caution.
Backup discussion is not allowed. Talking of homebrew is
Hope that clears things up.
Cheers
