    Re: BF: Bad Company

Having a lot of problems with the comms on it at the moment. 4 of us have been playing it regularly over the last few days and we having trouble with everyone being able to hear everyone else, makes team work rather hard. You can hear one teammate for a few minutes and then all of a sudden he will get cut off and you will be able to hear someone else.

Another problem we have been having is getting in the same squad in the maps. We make a squad up before we go in and if we are lucky we will all be on the same side but never put in the same squad, had it last night where it took 3 tries to get everyone on the same side on joining the map.

Overall though it's looking quite good, I've read EA are going to do something about the stat padders, not sure what they can do though, other than resetting their scores and removing the turned over vecichal bug. So that's a start, just hope the comms chat problems are sorted out soon.

Is anyone else not bothered by the amount of bullets you seem to have to stick in to someone before they die? Seems silly to me, but I'm happy enough running around with my newb tube Guess I'm to used to COD4 Hardcore mode where people die when you shoot them.

    Re: BF: Bad Company

Yeah the amount of rounds you need to put in people has always been a bit OTT on BF, but the style of play means huge amounts of ammo flying around. Accuracy is very important for killing quickly. Unfortunately most of the guns have hilarious amounts of deviation on full auto. Assault works well, especially the XM8 and M16(lots of damage and zoom), specialist has low deviation and high RoF but no proper down the sight option. The MG36 with the support class is very good at long range on full auto and has a great red dot sight. The M60 is supposed to be great too, not found one myself yet though

Perfect solution if you want to kill fast is the shotgun; but unless you know the routes with lots of cover you need to get accurate with the rockets for longer range kills. At close range I've stood in the middle of 5 guys and been the last man standing(just barely). Strafe and jump a lot.

For gods sake don't play recon. A useless assault/demo guy is more helpful than a good sniper, I've only come across one sniper who was worth having, unless you can headshot moving targets every time don't bother with it. This has always been true in BF, but now we're using sticks instead of mice it's even more true. If you want to hang back and pick people off, use support and the MG36(other guns work ok, but the 36 is best IMO) combined with a big pile of health and good cover.

Not noticed any certain time(s), but I've had some horrid lag spikes that lead to a horrible demise.

Anyone fancy starting a squad? add me (see xbox live id below my avatar)

Been playing as a sniper a fair bit lately, just love the laser designator - trying for the "one in a million" achievement (hit a helicopter with the laser designator).

Fav maps: End of the line and Harvest Day

Only had the game for a couple of days and already addicted. Currently ranked as Staff Sergeant.

    Re: BF: Bad Company

I really need to download the demo. I've been playing Bf2 again recently but if Bad Company is like Bf2 but with better graphics it must be fantastic!

So you can actually play some multiplayer on the demo version?

Yup, you get 1 full map to play in MP mode. No time limits or anything, play for as long as you like.
