How can you tell skill level?
Started the SP campaign again (lost save game) and played a couple maps online so far. No one talks... but the classic get with good people and you kinda work together anyway.
You cant see skill level until you hit Rank 25(doesn't take that long tbh, quicker than previous BF's). It replaces those little coloured arrows for form. Ranges from 1 to 50 with 1 being highest and only given to 1 player in the world.

got this game and love playing EVERY second of it...but its not quite COD4 looking forward to COD5!!
Loved the campaign real character to it.
Online though... No one talks, not about whats going on ingame anyway.
1: Going from PC to this its very annoying not being able to change squads. I use the term squad loosely from the teamwork I've seen so far.
2:Being able to admin the server
It would be good to play regularly with people but I've been finding after an hour or so gaming I've had to drop it and play something else... Normal PR
I've heard you can join a game together as a group but not sure if that then keeps you all together in the squad. I've played with a friend and each map change it seemed to randomly assign people to squads as they joined.
Conquest mode coming on thursday
Free conquest mode is on the marketplace now. 80meg, 4 maps,2 infantry 2 vehicle.
Lot more frantic than gold rush.
hows the voice comms in conquest?
I'm up for a bit of squad action if you want. I agree, it's pretty irritating that no one communicates - I do my best to let people know what's going on and work as a team; seems pretty obvious to me that it's the key to winning.
I'm on most nights from around 9pm, sometimes earlier sometimes later.

Anyone else: feel free to add me if you're interested in playing in a squad / communicating...
Just in case you're still suffering from this problem: I had the same thing and then realised that my router was blocking some of the ports that Battlefield uses - so I stuck the 360 in DMZ mode on the router (opening all ports) and I've never had a problem with the comms since.
Hope that helps.
Found a fun trick
