Been looking on the official forums, its looking like WipEout HD may be a little on the buggy side. People complaining about crashes, can't download. freezing. So going to hold off (not that i can do anything just yet) and see how things pan out.

Mine downloaded in about ten minutes, no problems adding money, downloading or installing it. I've played it for about an hour, no crashes or any problems.

Cracking little game, well worth the 11.99.

Same here, no issues at all. I downloaded it in no time (getting my full 17mb download speed) at about 11pm last night. Great game for £11.99

I think I'm one of the unlucky ones.

Downloaded and installed without any problems, but it seems to hang at certain points, such as during the little intro vid and sometimes in the menus. It eventually comes back, but at first I was reaching for the power button, thinking it had crashed. Fortunately there hasn't even been a hint of it during races, 60fps @ 1080P.

    Anyone else experienced similar?

You notice that on PSN downloads too? I thought it was just me. I have the XL package and my mates 8MB Sky package goes a heck of a lot faster.

Re: WipEout HD Priced at £11.99

Downloaded this the other day as well. Took a little bit of getting used to since I've not played a Wipeout since the original. Gotta love Zone mode, but I'm struggling to get gold on all the first set of races. I must be getting to old!

If anyone fancies a race and sees me online, I'm Lowe_UK on PSN.

Oh no, I hope thats not on Novice either

I managed gold on the first set of tracks, but I'm only getting 50% of golds on the second set!

On a side note, there's an abolsute stack of trophies for this game. I think I've earnt 7 with very little play time.

Amazing game. Was playing at work on projector earlier which was fun, but when home playing on a 1080p TV really looks stunning.

Think i'm going to have to buy this!

If i say that i'm a hudge fan of the original, not just the graphics but the kick arse sound track, yet didn't like the sequel for the ps2.... do you think i'll be disapointed?

I have found playing this in 1080p with a decent Dolby 5.1 surround sound system does not disappoint imo. Well worth a punt for £11.99

Re: WipEout HD Priced at £11.99

Been playing this rather a lot in the last few days. Even though it felt as though it took about 3 years to download on my super-speedy 1m/b connection!

Really enjoy the game, and the graphics, sound and presentation are all up to usual Wipeout standards.

It does make me feel a little nauseous though, maybe I need to sit further back from the telly!
