Recommend I a Playstation *2* racing game.

My Bro has a PS2 and no racing games. He wants one for Christmas. Give me suggestions for the best ones out there please!

Gran Turismo 4 is in my opinion, THE best racing game on the PS2. It's quite serious - if he wants something more fun / arcadey check out any of the Colin McRae Rally Games (4 is my personal favourite - easiest to access) or the Burnout series are lots of fun as well.

No. 1 choice is Gran Turismo 4. Simply the best driving game on the PS2 or anywhere else until GT5 comes out. (I'm soooo looking forward to that. I may have to buy a G25 to celebrate)

Coming in strongly at no. 2 is Burnout 3 Takedown.

Both should be available on budget by now so get him both. He'll love you for it but his wife/girlfriend/boyfriend/significant other might not when he goes out and buys a steering wheel to use on them.

Yup - I got both in the end. Came to £25 inc delivery, which ain't bad in my book.

I absolutely loved GT2 on the Playstation, and since my g/f has a playstation 2 kicking about, maybe I'll get a copy of GT4 for myself

Mashed has always been a personal favourite - its kind of a racing/slash combat game.

Burnout 3 is especially good with a muti-tap, 3 friends and some drink
