    FIFA09 vs PES2009

hiya. i'm looking for a fine football game wherein i can play top teams from the Champions League (then work my way towards the final) then at the same time play towards the World Cup. i'm not particular if the game is too "arcade-y" or too technical but what game would you guys sugest to me?

    thanks.

oh dear, i fear another heated battle could soon commence lol.

personally i prefer fifa 09 i find it to be a far superior football game with much more to do with it but that doesnt mean pro evo09 is rubbish (even if i do think so ) i would suggest if your on xbl to download both demos and see what you think

FIFA09 hands down for me, a proper and the best football game there is, PES is far to arcade for me ..

    Re: FIFA09 vs PES2009

I love Fifa 09, but I so very much hate the celebrations. It's like they couldn't think of anything else useful to put in the game so they stuck in the robot dance, so after a goal you get to look at a player doing a shoddy representation of the robot for 10 seconds.

God it makes my angry, my brother does this after every goal because he knows it infuriates me. I still haven't been bothered to check out the button combination required to get this so I can't return the favour.

The foul recognition is also pretty dodgy, with some obvious fouls slipping under the net, e.g. bumping into another player putting them off balance and knocking them away from the ball.

IMO it has to be Fifa 09 even though 90% of my friends insist on playing PES

Very much worth trying both first. I'd put it down to personal preference as there's no clear better game between the two.

I used to enjoy PES more than Fifa, But I had to agree I find Fifa 09 has more offering than PES2009.

FIFA 09 is the best out the two. PES is just pass, pass, pass, through ball, shoot goal. FIFA requires more thinking.

And Fifa looks a lot more sexy overall , Feels a lot better when you get a goal as more effort went in.
