    Cleaning an xbox controller

How do i fix my water damaged xbox controller? I left away from my room for like an hour, and when i came back my nephew had my xbox controller in his mouth. I took it away from him and i dried it off, and after about ten minutes of playing halo, my character all of the sudden started walking backwards, and i cant get him to stop. Does anyone have any advice?

Yes, make a post in the right section rather than piggybacking on a totally diferent thread and you might get a constructive answer

Though offtopicand you should have made a new one for help, go get some distilled water and wash through your 360 Controller with it (this makes all the dirty crap from his mouth become washed out), then get a sealed container big enough to fit the controller in, and some silicon gel beads and place them all together and seal the container. Wait a few days for the silicon gel beads to absorb all of the distilled water and hopefully your 360 controller will work.

If it doesn't, it has been screwed due to you playing it before washing it out.

I did these steps with my mobile phone, two or three times now (as i'm clumsy) and its worked everytime. Removed orange juice, tea and apple juice.

The more silicon beads you use, the faster they will absorb the water.

Remember to use distilled water as tap water contains impurities which make short your controller when used, especially if you live in a hard water area.
