PC Usb Headset - Work on 360 too?

OK so im thinking on getting a headset for my pc. I dont think that plugging it into the usb port on my 360 is going to work but there must be some kind of adaptor or something to enable you to use a pc headset on the 360 or vice versa.

Anyone got any leads on this?

Got one myself, online gaming is so much nicer with a proper headset rather than what MS throw in with the 360

The MS headsets always break, too. I mean for £15 a pop they should last a while. I'll probably get one of them with my next Scan order.

I've just been looking at a review for the Sennheiser PC 121 and apparently it comes with a 2.5mm stereo jack so it could be used with a 360! And even better, it's only £1 more expensive than the MS headset on Amazon!!!

This is ace! I have gone through about 7 headsets, costing over £100!!!

No worries. I'm currently on my third! What I don't understand is why they break all the time, I mean what is there to break (apart from 4 hair-thin wires which are so thin it's near impossible to solder them back to the board).

Hmm. Well after bying one of these doobries, I plugged it into my wireless pad, after no joy and a hard shove it plugged in nicely. I thought the stereo headset went on the left hole, and the microphone jack went on the right - not that there's any symbols or instructions. Anyway, I got no sound, no voice, nothing. Speedlink - fail.

There are definitely symbols on mine for the microphone and headphone jacks, if it's any help on mine the headphone jack plugs in on the right and the microphone on the left.

I think you have to use mono headset/mic.

I don't think so, I'm sure the Speedlink Medusa set I use are stereo.

Is the official wireless headset any good?

I cant really tell what people are saying with the regular one and it isn't all that comfortable.

A chap I play cod4 with swears by his but when I looked into it all the reviews I read said there wasn't much in it sound quality wise so I grabbed a pc headset and adaptor instead for a total of about £18 and to be honest I can't knock either for the price.
