    Profile and download history?

    Hi..

    Just wondering..

Is the download history of a profile stored on the Xbox HD/MU or in microsoft's cloud or both? I want to be able to access this data and my purchases again if I ever buy an xbox again (just sold mine).

Also is deleting the profile from the hd and changing the password enough for security?

    Re: Profile and download history?

When you say download history, is that literally just the history, or does it mean that any XBLA games or DLC can be downloaded to your new console without having to pay again. I pray I'll never need to really know, but might as well find out now if possible! THanks

    Re: Profile and download history?

You can download anything that you have paid for once before for free again to your new console, the history is a log that proves that you've purchased the content.. which I realize now is why it is and why it has to be stored in microsoft's cloud.

When you login to a friends xbox (add your profile to it) you can download the games and play them there as it knows you have purchased them, ever more useful since soon users will be able to download FULL xbox 360 games, you won't have a disc to carry around.

Not sure about the greyed out part , as surely microsoft won't allow one copy (one purchase) of a game to be played on multiple consoles.
