Yeah its supposed to hit stores on the 25th, so reviews will probably start hittinh around next week. I was well impressed with the demo, but the 'fanboys' who are moaning about the lack of face buttons I agree with. The total control was good in Fight Night 3, but at least you could choose whether you wanted to play with the stick or buttons. In FR4 it appears that the developers are forcing you to adopt the stick system.

I downloaded the demo, and thought the training was good, but in an actual fight, found it hard to chain togethter the combos that I wanted to accurately. Does look great though, but I guess I need to see some reviews too.

Same here, but after playing the demo a few times ive become pretty good at it and probably the same as i would of using the face buttons. Tbh i always wanted to use the sticks in the other games but jsut wasnt good enough, it seemed as if you could get combos going better with them than the buttons and after having to succumb to the sticks in FNR4 ive gotta say i prefer it.

Yeah I have been playing the demo alot recently, and althouh you adapt to the stick system as you continue playing, it would have been better if EA gave the gamer the choice to choose their input methods.

    Re: Fight Night Round 4

Just played this for around 3/4 hours.

Its fun, but the career mode seems like last years, nothing new. Now Prizefighter was a crappy game but it had a very well produced and presented career mode. Im not really a fan of total control, I can use it but dont like that fact that Im forced to use it. Its a lot harder than R3, which is a good thing. You actually cant go guns blazing and go for a round 1 KO (Well you could, in Amatuer mode). You need to fight wisely, inside/outside depending on your fighter, and definetly learn how to block and counter to get big punches.

Hook me up on XBL and Ill take you to school in the squared ring

Can't decide between this or UFC. Playing the demo is depressing after seeing Hatton get demolished.

    Re: Fight Night Round 4

Both have drawbacks i spose and advantages

FF4 looks amazing and apprently plays pretty well all in all - career mode is a little basic but better than last years according to most posters and it looks like fight styles dynamic works well
UFC is sposed to be good but KO's happen to often and the ground game is a little awkward from what I have read.
Dont think you will go far wrong with either to be honest Fight night is maybe a little more polished but thats about it - its where my moneys going in the next few weeks

Good job, IMO the UFC game is well over rated
