Excellent game so far..lots of hack, slash, roaming, levelling etc..it's very difficult too, for a change!
    Well worth the investment.

    Glad you are enjoying roo

It is quality isnt it? - like you said very difficult but so rewarding. Pity that so many European PSN owners do not know about this title, surely can not be long until its released here (be interested to know the figures on imported copies)

As i been so busy at work i foolishly lent it to my mate for the last couple of weeks, getting it back Monday, as his copy arrived this weekend and there was no way i was going to get it back from him otherwise - hes totally additcted

What boss are you up to? Personally apart from it being fiendishly hard i really do not want to rush through this game. Last time i played i was fighting flamelurker a real badboy, there are some good boss strats on fighting on youtube and found a good one for him (dont use until you fight him first off just for the experience) but this vid gives you a sneak of what to expect.... eeek http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YBV3w...eature=related

What class you gone for on first attempt?

Indeed, taking your time with this game is the best way indeed, savouring it like a fine wine

I was close to getting the US collectors edition but i think i will hold out for EU release (if it ever happens) and get it then which will be cool for multiplayer. In the end i can only play online with Asian gamers at present and cause its been out so long there is ok if they are on your side for team up, but if they Black Phantom invade your game they really kick arse

Knight is a good choice starting out, also the Royal kicks arse with soul arrow from start (although of course weaker in melee) In the end though as you get further into the game and your soul level gets higher you can end up with a more "rounded" character who can both melee and still cast of to a good level magic wise. My temple Knight focused mostly strength/endurance but when i last played been upping the magic and faith levels.

Also, hope you got (or will get) the Purple flame shield from the resting dragons areas, its served me well. Reading up on wiki its the 2nd best shield in whole game for pure hit resistance, only issue is the strength requirement and its weight (damn heavy) http://demonssouls.wikidot.com/purple-flame-shield

    Re: Demon's Souls - Review

At last, finally completed this epic game - took me long enough, but then with the toughness level so high its not like so many of these inferior games around nowdays you can complete it in a 5 hour sitting.

Now i just purchased the Black Phantom edition for some pvp action (and the collectables)

For anyone else wanting to experience this in the UK, our own edition finally got released and it seems shopto has the best deal at the moment http://www.shopto.net/PS3/VIDEO%20GA...20Edition.html

Demon's Souls.... so good I brought it twice

Indeed was my game of 2009 easily.

My copy does have multiplayer, but i got the Asian version on import last year and it uses a separate set of servers to Europe http://demonssouls.wikidot.com/online

My mates just starting up and wanted to co-op and maybe some localised PVP. Will also be nice to get the soundtrack/strat guide in English (all my docu is in Chinese)
