    DS Lite & Screen protectors

    Hi All,

I have just purchased a DS Lite for my other half's christmas and was wondering about the whole screen protector thing, are they worth getting? if so can anyone recommend a specific brand?

    Thanks,

Re: DS Lite & Screen protectors

Hi I would defineatly say yes to them as they do protect the screen at the end of the day and when they get messed up you can replace them for tuppence.

I personally brought a few of the official NDS ones from an online auction site from Hong Kong, he starts them at 1p with free delivery and they hardly ever go over 6-7p.

For Ds any should be ok, but for larger amount screens on items, id say try invisible shield, as they have lifetime garentee, and replace them if damaged, also they work really well when scratched. But they are more expensive.

Re: DS Lite & Screen protectors

Screen protectors are definitely worth getting. Partly it will come down to how well you treat your DS, but either way, if you put a scratch on the screen, with a protector you can just tear it off and replace it, but if the scratch is in the screen you're screwed.

Also make sure you use proper stylus, and not biros, finger nails or whatever else you have to hand. I've seen the state some traded in DS are in, and I can only assume some people use sand paper to play their games!

I don't know if there is much difference between buying official Nintendo screen protectors or 3rd party ones, though both can be found quite cheaply. Have a spare set, so if you do need to replace it, you don't have to wait until you have some new ones.
